Hair and Not

I did not realize this penchant of mine, until a friend of mine started making jokes that I like tonsured men only.

Admit it; it is hard to pull off the hairless look. Not many can do it. The few who do are so very handsome!

I had a huge crush on Herschelle Gibbs when I was in high school. I was of the opinion that all girls at school would be all over him too. With that killer smile, who would not be? Apparently, not many. They would rather ogle at Rahul Dravid than the “baldie” as they put it. Yes, As far as I was concerned, those girls were idiots!

Then there was WWF. My brother and I watch it, my favorite being… If you have guessed it already, fist bump. If not, here he is...Austin 3:16, and God did I love him. He was a total badass who did not give a damn about anyone. Every time he was on, I was glued to the TV. I even picked up fights with my brother (A huge fan of the Rock.) over him.

Who is your favorite Hollywood hero?

The response might vary with teen-aged girls screaming Robert Pattinson (Seriously, he is not handsome. At all. ) or Taylor Lautner (ahem..), and others preferring Orlando Bloom, Brad Pitt or Will Smith. No, I say Bruce Willis. One movie of his – Die hard – and I was hooked onto him.

Not many might know Matt Moran, but he's on my list as well. The man's one of the best chefs in the world. Now that alone is gold. Being bald is just an incentive ;)

Last but not the least, our very own “Mottai Boss” in the movie Sivaji. I was initially very skeptical of the movie, given the amount of hype that surrounded the movie before its release. However, after seeing the movie there was nothing I would talk about except our mottai boss.
I would like to clarify that I do not like tonsured men only. I like hairy.. err.. not-tonsured men as well.

P.S. Closely-cropped also helps! ;)

Pick me... Pick me...

He was almost six feet tall, with friendly green eyes and closely cropped chestnut colored hair. He had a rectangular face, with a firm jaw line and thin lips. He wore rimless spectacles, and a very affable smile. In short, a totally handsome guy!

I was so absorbed into taking notes of what he was doing that I failed to realize that a bunch of other people were also there. Most of them held high posts within the department. In fact, the president and the vice president were also there. I was just a newbie.

Roberto and Stephane were intently listening to Rozario, and were nodding their heads a few times. Valerie was having an animated discussion with Alberto. Rakesh did not take part in their conversations. He was observing everyone in the room, and when he cast a look at us, I became super-nervous. When I realized that he was smiling at us, I felt a little better. Jacques was absent from the meeting. He would have made the meeting less imposing.

As the higher-ups were discussing delegation, I was praying, “Please God. Make him pick me. I promise to be good” I am sure Dhivya, a fellow newbie was praying for the same. We both knew that both of us wanted to work under him. The two other recruits Raja, and Purush were probably just hoping for a good profile.

Guys in the NBA Draft would have felt less nervous. I probably looked like a lost puppy. After a few minutes of discussion, their attention turned towards us. Then, Alberto turned towards me and said, “You”, he paused. I rose from my chair and headed towards him nervously. “Come with me” he said, and led me out of the meeting room. As I was heading out, I saw Dhivya talk to her new boss. She saw me too, and gave me a knowing smile.

By the way, Alberto was the totally handsome guy I was talking about ;)
